Today on Ask Dr. Doreen, Dr. Doreen Granpeesheh answers questions about how to help a child try new foods, how to get a child to stop stripping naked or touching their private parts in public, how to help a child sleep and the differences between schizophrenia and Autism. On Let’s Talk Autism with Shannon and Nancy the ladies welcome Dr. Shah, a dentist and author of the new book Sam and the Sugar Bug. Dr. Shah gives great tips on how to help children with special needs overcome their fears of going to the dentist. Marianne Bernaldo, M.S., BCBA, Director of ABA Programs at Xcite Steps tells the ladies about some of the social skills programs they run that help kids to be able to negotiate some of the harder aspects of the neurotypical world.

Nancy and Shannon share news stories about a Kaiser settlement, similar behaviors in children with Autism and girls with anorexia and the new study that suggests there woman who are induced or have labor augmented may be at risk for the child develop Autism.
