This month’s Smarty craft is extra fun! It helps to use all of the broken crayons in your home and create new fabulous crayons! With those new crayons kids can create fun “scratch and reveal” paintings. The craft is inexpensive and helps children to work on skills such as pincer grasp, holding a pencil, using a paintbrush and more! Enjoy this fun craft.

Smarty, short for smart art, is a monthly series showing the ways in which you can use art to bond with your child while practicing skills they are working on in therapy. Its real life application of lessons they are learning.

This segment is sponsored by http://www.SkillsforAutism.com and utilizes the lessons and curriculum found in the Skills® online program.
